Kertas of Management and Social Science (KMSS) is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. We are committed to ensuring integrity, transparency, and fairness in the peer-review and publishing process. Any form of publication malpractice is strictly prohibited, and all reasonable steps will be taken to prevent such misconduct.
KMSS serves the academic community by publishing original, high-quality work that contributes to the fields of management and the social sciences. We expect the same commitment to ethical conduct from our authors, reviewers, and editors. The journal adheres to the principles and guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and strives to maintain best practices in dealing with ethical issues, retractions, and corrections.
Editorial Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts are suitable for publication based on originality, academic merit, and alignment with the journal’s scope.

Editorial decisions are made without bias related to the authors' race, gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, political beliefs, or institutional affiliation.

Editors must ensure a rigorous, fair, and confidential peer-review process.

Editors shall not disclose any information about a manuscript to anyone other than those involved in the publication process.

Editors must avoid conflicts of interest and refrain from using unpublished material for personal research.

Editors are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the published record by issuing corrections or retractions when necessary and investigating any allegations of misconduct.
Editorial Board Responsibilities

Members of the editorial board must maintain confidentiality regarding all manuscript submissions.

They must disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from editorial decisions where such conflicts exist.

They are expected to evaluate submissions solely on their scholarly merit and ensure transparency and consistency in editorial processes.
Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers must treat submitted manuscripts as confidential documents and not share or discuss them with others.

Reviews should be conducted objectively and constructively, providing clear and evidence-based feedback.

Reviewers should identify any relevant work not cited by the authors and alert editors to any potential plagiarism or ethical concerns.

If reviewers are unable to complete their review in a timely manner or identify a conflict of interest, they should inform the editors promptly.

Reviewers must avoid reviewing manuscripts where a potential conflict of interest exists due to relationships with authors or affiliated institutions.
Author Responsibilities

Authors must submit original work that has been conducted ethically and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Authors must ensure that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal.

All authors must accurately represent their contributions to the work and agree to take responsibility for its content.

Any use of others’ work must be properly cited, and all sources of financial support or potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

Authors are required to describe their research methods clearly and provide sufficient detail for others to replicate the findings.

If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they must promptly notify the editorial office so that appropriate action can be taken.
Copyright and Licensing
By submitting a manuscript to KMSS, authors affirm that the work is original and has not been published elsewhere. Upon acceptance, authors agree to transfer copyright to the publisher. KMSS supports open access publishing, and all articles are published under a Creative Commons license to ensure free and global dissemination of knowledge.
