Self-Archiving Policy

Authors publishing in Kertas of Information and Communication Science (KICS) under the gold open access model are encouraged to archive their work on a variety of non-commercial platforms, in accordance with the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Authors may deposit the following versions of their manuscript:

  • Pre-print (original manuscript before peer review)

  • Post-print (accepted manuscript after peer review)

  • Version of record (final published version)

These versions may be shared on:

  • Personal websites or blogs

  • Institutional repositories

  • Non-commercial subject-based repositories

  • Academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)

  • Social media platforms

When sharing accepted or published versions, authors must clearly indicate that the article has been accepted or published in Kertas of Information and Communication Science (KICS) by KertasSci.

To preserve the integrity of the scholarly record, authors are required to include a link to the official version on the KICS journal website. The version published on the journal website should be regarded as the definitive version of record.

Authors are also encouraged to check with their funding agencies or institutions to ensure compliance with any specific archiving or repository mandates.
